Boeing
Boeing [Boeing] BrE NAmE
a US company that makes aircraft. Its well-known passenger planes include the Boeing 707, Boeing ↑737 and Boeing ↑747 (the ‘jumbo jet’). In 1997 it joined other companies to create a ↑satellite for the ↑Internet. William Boeing (1881–1956) began the company in 1917, and its main offices are in ↑Seattle.
