Honolulu
Honolulu [Honolulu] BrE NAmE
the capital city of the US state of ↑Hawaii. It is a major port on the south-eastern coast of the island of Oahu, and sugar and ↑pineapples are processed there. The University of Hawaii is in Honolulu, and so is ↑Pearl Harbor, the home of the US Pacific Fleet. The city is very popular with tourists, especially ↑Waikiki beach.
