Radio 3 [Radio 3] BrE NAmE
a British national radio station of the ↑BBC that broadcasts mainly ↑classical music, but also presents ↑jazz, plays, talks and readings of short stories and poetry. It was established in 1967 and before that was known as the Third Programme. It broadcasts 24 hours a day.
